W32.Induc.A

W32.Induc.A is a virus that may inject its code to Delphi compilation procedure and infect all files that were compiled with it. W32.Induc.A does it by placing an infection routine on the file [DELPHI INSTALLATION FOLDER]\source\rtl\sys\SysConsts.dcu.

Manual Removal of W32.Induc.A

1. Temporarily Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP). [how to]
2. Update the virus definitions.
3. Reboot computer in SafeMode [how to]
4. Run a full system scan and clean/delete all infected file(s)
5. Delete the SysConst.dcu file from the \Lib where the Delphi compiler is installed.
6. Rename the SysConst.bak file present in the \Lib to Sysconst.dcu
7. In order to make sure that threat is completely eliminated from your computer, carry out a full scan of your computer using AntiVirus and Antispyware Software. Another way to remove viruses using various Antivirus Program without the need to install the full program can be done with Online Virus Scanner.
