All pretends to be a legitimate program for Windows OS. Smart Virus Eliminator will display fake security scan results to scare computer users and easily convince them to register the program.
With continued presence of Smart Virus Eliminator on the system, additional contamination will occur because of its capabilities to connect to a remote server and download additional malware. It can also modify internet browser settings to block access to certain websites and redirect web pages to its predefined fake security website.
